Build a blog¶

This recipe covers the two blog pages: the listing page and the post layout.
The listing page¶

The blog post¶
The post is a template, not a stack of modules. Pick one of four layouts and style it from that layout's own settings module.

Two modules sit below the article on every layout:

Steps¶
- Create a blog in HubSpot and assign one of the four Flexoraa blog post templates.
- Build the listing page with the listing stack above.
- Open the matching Blog layout module in global content, under Hidden modules, and add an entry for this blog: its slug, and Light or Dark.
- Style the post in that same entry. Every field you see applies to the layout you picked.
- Set the wording and hide any elements you do not want, in the same entry under Wording and Show/hide settings.
- Turn on the tag filter if you want readers to filter by topic.
- Enable Blog Comments if you want reader discussion.
Tips¶
Guide the reader onward
Leave the subscribe block and Recent Post on so readers keep moving through your site. The subscribe block is switched inside the blog's entry, under Show/hide settings.
Wording is global, styling is per layout
Labels such as "Back to blog" and "Share this post" live inside each blog's entry, so two blogs can word them differently. Each layout has its own module, so changing Classic never affects Cover.
Author and tag pages
The Blog Author & Tag Page module adds a spotlight header to author and tag listing pages.
