2026-09 module polish¶

Typography and background controls filled in where they were missing.

added A Blog layout module per layout (Classic, Cover, Sidebar, Split header). Each holds one entry per blog, so two blogs on the same layout can be styled independently. Wording and the show/hide switches moved inside those entries, so they are per blog too.

changed Blog post settings moved out of Theme Settings. They now live in the Blog layout module for the layout in use, edited once in global content under Hidden modules. ACTION: blog post styling resets on upload, so set it again once per blog.

added Make a tag on Section Title › Subtitle. One switch turns the eyebrow between a pill (padding, background, corners, border) and plain text, matching the toggle the other tag groups already had.

added Letter spacing on every tag and eyebrow group that lacked it: Section Title, Content Card, Content (all three columns), Megamenu link badge, Multi Column Banner - Slider, Pricing (highlight tag and discount text).

added Background pattern on Call to Action: grid, dots, diagonal lines, diagonal cross or circuit board, with colour, tile size and a directional fade. Hidden for image and video backgrounds, which need no pattern behind them.

added Typo 1, Typo 2 and Custom font size on the nav column title in Footer - Classic and Footer - Newsletter led, with separate desktop, tablet and mobile sizes.

changed The Pricing feature check icon now defaults to a Star instead of a chevron. Plans already on a page keep the icon they were saved with.

added Slider dot controls on all six slider modules: a Dots alignment (left, centre, right) and a Show active dots bigger switch with its own scale. On Single Column Banner - Slider the dots now line up with the slide content instead of the screen edge.

added Every feature list now has the same settings. Banner with Form, Content and Media, Multi Column Banner - Simple, Multi Column Banner - Slider and Pricing all gained the full set: icon size and colour, an icon background with its own colour, gradient, corners and border, feature text colour, gradient, bold and a custom font size, a 1 or 2 column layout, and separate desktop and mobile gaps. Pricing gets everything except the columns, since its list sits inside a plan card. ACTION: on the two Multi Column Banners and Pricing several fields were renamed to match, so any page where you customised the feature text size, the gaps or the list icon reverts to the default and needs setting again. Pages left on defaults are unaffected.

fixed Multi Column Banner - Simple feature list: setting a custom feature text colour also recoloured the icon, gradient text did not clear its fill, an empty list rendered an empty block, turning on a per row custom icon without picking one showed nothing, there was no icon colour control, and the list ignored the section content alignment. All six are corrected, and the icon now has its own colour field.

changed Pricing dropped the Align feature icon with text and [Caution!!] Top margin of icon pair. Use Plan features › Icon & text alignment set to Top instead, which fixes the same wrapping-line problem properly.

changed Timeline centre dots rebuilt. The group is now ordered Size, Round corner, Background, Border. Dots default to 13px, both the before and after colours default to Tertiary, and there is a proper Round corner field (Full by default) instead of a hidden custom radius. The border now has separate before and after colours rather than one shared colour. ACTION: a dot border colour set on an existing page reverts to the default and needs setting again.

added Custom font size on more headings: Section Title › Title, and Banner with Form › Subtitle, Title and Description. Each adds desktop, tablet and mobile sizes, defaulting to the theme size the element already used so nothing shifts until you change it.

added Add SVG code as an icon source on Megamenu mega link icons, alongside the HubSpot library and image upload. Paste a stroke based icon and it picks up the icon colour.

added Override letter spacing on the Megamenu column title, a switch plus a value so the title can sit at exactly 0 rather than inheriting the theme heading spacing.

added Make card same height on Team, matching Contact Card, Content Card, Features and Job Listing. Cards stretch to fill the row with the social icons pinned to the bottom.

added Text transform on Team › Member designation, Make font bold on Steps › Number, and separate prefix and suffix colours on Pricing › Plan price.

changed Buttons now defaults its Left and Right section spacing to M, matching every other module. It was the only one starting at none.

fixed Megamenu icons pasted as SVG rendered as solid shapes, because every icon in the mega link wrapper was being filled. Fill is now scoped to library icons so stroke based SVGs stay outlines. Also fixed: spaces typed into a column title were being discarded, because the title was a flex container and dropped its leading and trailing whitespace.

fixed Demo images now ship with the theme instead of loading from our portal, so a fresh install renders its demo pages from its own copy. Also fixed: the Careers and two Landing page templates had no thumbnail in the template picker, and the publish date and read time in Blog Section carried a stray bottom margin that pushed them out of line with the separator.

changed Form colours no longer follow the Light/Dark colour scheme. Each Form style (Theme Settings › Form › Style 1/2/3) now has its own Colors group: label, input text, placeholder, help text, error, consent text, checkbox/radio label, focus border, and the checkbox/radio idle and checked states. Defaults match each style's previous light-section look, so nothing changes on upload. ACTION: if you use Style 2 on a Dark section, its text no longer lightens automatically, so set that style's Colors group by hand.

added New module: Table of Contents. A sticky in-page nav rail with number or dot markers, three levels of nesting (items, sub topics, sub-sub topics), scroll-spy active highlighting, and an optional self-contained mode that generates its own heading and body content when an item's Description is filled in.

2026-08 blog post rebuild¶

The blog post became four independent templates, each with its own settings group.

added Four blog post layouts — Classic, Cover, Sidebar and Split header. Each has a complete settings group under Theme Settings › Blog, so styling one never affects another. See Blog post templates.

added Blog settings global module — the wording used across every post, plus ten show/hide switches for post elements.

added Subscribe block on all four layouts, using HubSpot's own blog subscription form.

changed Every post element now follows the Light/Dark colour scheme, set once at Theme Settings › Blog › Color scheme.

changed Submit button styling is global — the button style picked per form style applies to every HubSpot form in the theme, including the Form module.

2026-07 documentation launch¶

First release of this documentation site.

added Global Settings pages covering the full design system: colors, fonts, spacing, buttons and effects.

added Recipes for building a landing page, a pricing page and a blog.
